Movie Night

Sambandh organized it's first all member meeting with the screening of - Swades, a movie about a non-residential Indian employed with N.A.S.A who visit his nanny, who helped to raise him as a boy after losing his parents. During his stay, he realized that he needed to draw the villagers' attention to education and literacy, and dramatically demonstrates that electrification of at least a village can be achieved through hard and collective effort. Realizing that he could do so much more for this village and his country, he rejects NASA's offer with a realization that his village needs him more.

Of course, there is a love angle to it but which Bollywood movie doesn't?
